"the cost isn’t some undue, added expense"
She is building a 4000 foot home. She clearly has more than plenty of money. When you have a large budget, then added expenses don't matter. Most people don't have the financial ability to design and build their own home and any added expense is an undue expense. Let's not focus on people who can afford to do what they want. How about focusing on the vast majority of those who have a budget and have to compromise on everything to be able to just afford something decent.
